Lady Gaga Telephone Moodboard

- The titles show up on the screen like it's a movie, so this is an intertextual reference to films. They appear at the beginning and the end.
- Voyeurism is also used throughout as there is a CCTV camera shown in the prison so it's as if you are looking through 2 different screens. This is the same for the laptop screen and the TV screen, its also intertextual as the internet has been used for a dating site, and the TV is showing a news channel.
- There is a mobile phone shown, relating to the song title telephone and a phone company, Virgin is shown on the screen, another intertexual reference to phones and networks.
- Also it's as if Lady Gaga is on a TV cooking programme as the is making a sandwich and the recipe is up on the screen and there is a logo 'Poison TV' which is hyper real as its like 1 media form inside a another one etc.
- All the body guards are women and the prisoners are mainly women suggesting its quite feminist based and female based. Also they are all in little clothing suggesting the male gaze has been applied.
- At one point Gaga is dressed up as a leopard, which is hyper real as she is only in a costume however you relate her to the characteristics of one as she is acting like one.
